Getting the flooring package right before installation begins
On a new-build project, successful flooring delivery starts long before the first floor finish is installed.
Programme, substrate condition, moisture, sequencing and interfaces with other trades can all influence the flooring package. Identifying and managing these requirements early helps protect both the finished installation and the wider construction programme.

Planning Before Installation

Flooring sits towards the end of the construction programme, but many of the conditions affecting it are created much earlier.
Subfloor tolerances, moisture levels, floor heights, thresholds, door clearances and interfaces with other finishes can all influence the completed installation.
Early review of the flooring package allows these requirements to be considered before they become problems on site.
Our team works collaboratively with project teams to assess specifications, programme requirements and site conditions, helping identify potential issues and establish the preparation required before floor finishes are installed.
Managing Substrates & Moisture
A new concrete floor may look ready for flooring long before its moisture condition allows resilient finishes to be safely installed.
Testing and understanding the substrate is therefore an essential part of our approach.
Where required, we undertake moisture assessment and specify appropriate preparation systems, smoothing compounds and damp-proof solutions to create the conditions required for installation.
This technical preparation helps protect the long-term performance of the flooring while reducing the risk of avoidable delays or failures after handover.
Coordinating the Flooring Package

Commercial new builds often incorporate several flooring types across the same development.
Our broad capability allows us to coordinate safety and resilient flooring, LVT, carpet tiles, commercial carpet, wood flooring, sports flooring and hygienic wall cladding within a single package.
We work closely with site management and surrounding trades to coordinate areas, sequencing and interfaces throughout the construction programme.
